  • Want to add a second toilet, a walk-in robe or a pantry? I like to investigate layout reconfigurations within the existing envelope first before considering an increase of the building footprint.

  • Not everything 'old' has to go. I am a proponent of asking the question of what can be retained or reused in a contemporary context during your home update. The charm and character of your spaces comes from the story your home tells.

  • 'Bigger' is not always the answer to your home meeting all your needs. I truly believe that constraints inspire creativity. I find it satisfying when your space has the flexibility to adapt and function on multiple levels.
